WiPay Remittance
HERE TO HELP

A little clarity goes a long way.

Do I need a new WiPay account?

No. Sign in with your existing WiPay account. If you are new to WiPay, create your account there, then return to Remittance.

How do I receive money?

Your sender selects an eligible WiPay wallet transfer through Ria and uses your WiPay account number. The receiving account must meet WiPay’s verification requirements.

Can I receive into my bank?

Ask your sender to check whether Ria offers deposits to your bank. Use the same name that appears on your bank account and confirm the account details before they pay.

Can I collect cash?

Cash pickup is available at Miguel Moses, YOYOSO, and Wayne’s Electronics locations in Trinidad. Confirm the branch is open and offering cash pickup before travelling.

Is money moving in this preview?

No. The demo wallet uses fictional people, banks and transactions. Signing in to WiPay is real, but it does not activate live remittance transfers in this preview.

How can I receive a Ria transfer?

Agree with your sender whether you want a WiPay wallet transfer, a bank deposit or cash pickup. Ask them to check that the option is available in Ria before paying. For WiPay wallet transfers, share your WiPay account number.

What changes when I link my bank account?

Your WiPay receiving preference determines where supported transfers arrive. Review it in WiPay before your next transfer. Changing a preference in the demo does not change your real account.

How long does receiving money take?

Ask your sender for the arrival estimate for your transfer and use the Ria reference to track it. Bank processing, account checks and branch opening hours can affect when the money is available.

Are there fees to receive money?

Ask your sender to share the Ria fee, exchange rate and amount you will receive before they pay. Check any receiving or withdrawal fees with WiPay, your bank or the pickup branch. The demo does not provide a live quote.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Open the demo wallet to explore with a fictional wallet. Do not enter real bank details, passwords, ID documents or transfer references.
